"For all the yelling and screaming, for all the anger and the rage and the fear, for all the fighting Siran and Seroteth have done for me, we're no closer to a resolution of any kind."

Marius sighed. "And it's not like we can just run off. We've only been here for a few days and Cormac's finally starting to relax a bit."

"That was never an option. If we simply ran off, they'd be forced to assume the worst. Everywhere we'd go from then on, we would be wanted. Guards would be looking for us. I can't raise Aiden that way, and you don't deserve to live like that."

[Eskal]

"Definitely can't have anymore kids with a life like that either."

"I know. All I can really hope for by this point is they let you three in there. Maybe some outside voices can speed things up."

[Eskal]

"Here's hoping." Marius let out a short yawn as he nuzzled Astien. "We'll just have to take it one day at a time for now."

Astien modded and closed his eyes. "Yes. One day at a time..." Outside, the sun has set and the sky was growing dark. Astien opened his eyes again and looked out the window. "It's late. Where are the boys?"

[Eskal]

"Hmph?" Marius grunted as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Cormac and Delas. It's late, where are they?"

[Eskal]

"I don't know...Check their room?" Marius yawned as he stretched.

With some effort, Astien got to his feet and made his way to the guest room. "They're not here!" He called.

[Eskal]

"I guess we should go looking for them then?" Marius called back.

Astien groaned and rubbed his back. "You go, I'm too pregnant."

[Eskal]

Marius chuckled. "Fine. I'll go." He stood up and grabbed his cloak off of the hook before stepping outside and wrapping it around his shoulders. He quickly made his way towards town and the academy.

Delas was still in the academy's library, copying things from books, an doing research.

[Eskal]

Marius yawned as he came in. "Hey Kiddo, time to come home for the night. The library's going to close soon."

Delas jerked his head up. "Huh? Oh, okay then." He put away all of the books he'd had out, which was a fair number of them, and then picked up his own books and shoved them into a bag. "Okay, let's go."

Marius headed back to town and got Cormac from the book binder. He was focused on his work which was putting the pages into the cover.

"Hey," Delas greeted. "Time to go home."

[Eskal]

Cormac rubbed his eyes. "But the glue..."
"It has to dry over night anyway kid. Go home and rest yer eyes," the craftsman said.
