"Sounds like a challenge to me!" Delas said.

[Eskal]

Marius smirked. "Fine, I'll go spend the night with my family."
Willow chuckled. "There's plenty of room on the floor."

"Wait, come one now..." Astien started.

I'Karis threw his arms around him. "Don't worry baby, I'll keep you warm tonight."

[Eskal]

Marius chuckled. "See? I haven't even left yet and you already miss me."

"He was only saving you the trouble of coming crawling back." I'Karis said. "He can last until tomorrow."

"I guess that'll make everything more special." Astien said.

"Damn straight! 24 hours starts now!" I'Karis dragged Astien out of the room before he had a chance to say anything. Aralith just sighed and shook her head.

[Eskal]

Marius chuckled. "Keep an eye on the elf for me, Cormac."
Cormac smiled and nodded. "Will do."
Marius stood up and stretched. "Thanks for coming, everybody. We'll see you at the ceremony tomorrow."

Everyone left the hotel, save for those who were staying there. In their room, Delas was very quiet.

[Eskal]

"Something bothering you?" Wyn asked.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Tomorrow, after the wedding, I'm leaving. I'm going back to Dragonperch with you and Seroteth. This.... this is my last night with you guys..." Delas' eyes teared up, and he began to sniffle.

[Eskal]

"That maybe true, but it's not like we're never going to see each other again," Cormac said.
"That's right, once Aiden's born Cormac will be with us a Dragonperch all the time. And we're certainly going to visit Marius and Astien from time to time."

Delas shook his head. "Seroteth told me my job is gonna have me traveling a lot. I won't be at Dragonperch too much."

[Eskal]

"We'll still get to see each other on occasion," Cormac said.
"I'm sure our paths have to cross at some point," Wyn added.

"I just... I'm going to miss you guys so much. It's thanks to you I'm not just another starving raceless."

[Eskal]

"We're going to miss you too, Delas," Cormac said.

Delas cried and cried. "I'm scared."

Wyn hugged Delas. "It's going to be alright."

"I don't want to fail. And this is... I never thought this would happen to me. I'm so scared. I'm going to be all alone again."

[Eskal]

"You won't fail, Delas. And you won't be alone." Cormac assured him.

"I hope not. Gods, I hope not." The boy sniffled.

Wyn hugged Delas. "Everything will be fine."
