Tirian whispered comforting words to Jace, rubbing his belly, trying to calm the two restless foals.

Jace bit his lip lightly moaning softly at Tirian's touch. He relaxed his muscles as the contraction stopped and looked up at Tirian "This is going to be a long few days isn't it?"

"You could already tell?" Tirian asked, amused slightly, but he agreed, it will be a long few days especially with Jace's large foals, he will be having difficulties pushing them out.

Jace bit his lip looking at Tirian "Will they keep growing through the labour? They are already quite big aren't they?" Jace asked scared

"They'll grow one final time before the labour progresses." Tirian said before kissing Jace, "You need to be strong for them."

Jace kissed Tirian back softly "Tirian, I'm terrified" he whispered before grabbing his hand gently as a contraction rolled through his body again, he hissed quietly

"Don't be scared, I'm right here, aren't I?" Tirian assured Jace, pulling him close and kissing him, "And besides, Mariana, the naiad that checked you, is very skilled." he assured, hoping to calm Jace.

Jace sniffled a little and nodded "Okay, I trust you" he said softly and squeezed his hand gently closing his eyes and breathing deeply

Tirian smiled, "Relax for a while." he whispered as he kissed Jace, he stood up and excused himself, "I need to fetch some supplies." Mariana nodded, Tirian galloped off.

Jace whimpered, he didn't feel completely comfortable without Tirian near. He bit his lip and moaned softly as another contraction tensed his body up.

"It's almost time for them to grow a final time." Mariana said as she approached Jace, "Not long now."

Jace bit his lip and nodded, he looked terrified. He took deep breaths before looking straight up at the sky

His belly began growing again, the foals kicking roughly as they grew.

Jace cried out in pain his back arching up as tears fell down his cheeks. His body was shaking as it expanded and the skin felt too tight like he had just gotten horrible sunburn and he had tried to stretch out.

Mariana massaged Jace's belly gently, "Breathe boy, breathe." she said as she calmed the foals within him.

Tirian returned holding many supplies, he saw Jace and ran to him, "They're growing?" he asked Mariana who nodded, "It's okay Jace, I'm here." he whispered as he kissed Jace.

Jace held onto Tirian kissing him deeply, his grip was right as he cried into the kiss. He pulled back whimpering quietly.

Tirian looked at Mariana who checked Jace, "Not yet dilating." she said as she patted Jace's hand, despite her young face, her voice was filled with knowledge, she smiled at Jace, "Don't worry, you'll pull through."
