We shop around for paternity clothes for me. I feel overwhelmed by the selection not knowing where to begin. "What were you wearing when you were pregnant with me?" I ask her.

I turn to look at my son, thinking for a moment before replying, “I wore a load of dresses and comfy clothes”.

"Do you still have any of them?" I say. I smile

“I put them in the attic a few months after you was born, they’re still there now,” I replied, thinking back to days where I was pregnant

We head home. I look on the attic. I see some clothes and try them on in front of you. They're all solid color shirts and stretch pants and jeans.

“They don’t look too bad”, I commented, smiling at my son, they were just a bit too big considering he was still almost halfway through his pregnancy.

I’ll wear them. I say. I wash them and hang thrm in my closet. Over the next few month I have gotten bigger.

“Now that you’re obviously showing, what have you told your college?”, I asked, curious as I had remembered I didn’t tell any of the staff there.

“I told them I’d do my classes at home for the time being. They understood.” I lay their rubbing my belly, humming away.

“That’s good”, i hummed, giving his belly a little rub and watching my grandchild kick. I then left the room to continue with my house work. I still had to do some laundry and cook dinner.
