(Homebirth or hospital birth? Or a forced unassisted delivery.... like another attack or getting snowed in?)
Talon was always thankful of the rubs, a bit too eagerly it surprised Stephan. It sometimes crossed his mind that it could be Talon was only acting like he was tremendously helped by Stephan, just to make Stephan feel useful, but since Talon usually slept better at night if the rubs went well, Stephan was reassured it was above acting alone and he had to admit it felt great to know of his usefulness.
(getting snowed in sounds interesting so it ends up being a homebirth.)
Talon was up early as he was most often now. it was hard for him to sleep a lot or really get comfortable at all. he had been due a few days ago. he managed to get up without waking Stephan it was still vary early about 4am. He crept down stairs looking out the window only to find it was snowing. He didn't think much of it as he shrugged it off getting himself a glass of water.
With the snow, the room lit up earlier than normal. Stephan also woke up early with how bright outside was. He turned to look for his husband, not very surprised to find him missing and the bedding was cool on his side. He groaned a bit and heaved himself up seeing it was just close to 6am. He walked down the stairs, still yawning, looking for his husband and saw him sitting on the couch. He got to the window and frowned a bit seeing the snow. "Talon? It looked like it's snowing quite a bit is it?"
"Looks like it, doesn't seem like it's going to slow down school is closed and there are travel warnings." He had turned on the news just a few minutes after he got up. "Sleep well?" He asked smiling over at Stephan. This was the first major snow fall of the year and it was likely going to close down most of the city.
(I will send away the kids? Say they had a sleepover the night before?)
Stephan nodded solemnly. He turned to the kitchen and started boiling water. "You want some tea, hon? I bet you didnt have any breakfast.did you." He glanced over at his husband. At this angle he couldnt quite see him, but just now his belly looked so oblong and massive between his legs he wondered how it appeared to be even larger than lsdt time when there were two. He knew teh doctor mentioned something about the tissue having stretched already that would allow for more room of growth but still.
(sounds good. )
He shook his head at the mention of food, that wasn't knew in the last few days he hadn't been eating much, he couldn't really there wasn't a lot of room anymore. "Tea is good." He said softly After a moment he managed to get up from the couch and walk over to the kitchen watching Stephan. Despite his sore back he found it hard to sit still for vary long.
Stephan thought to himself, thinking how the doctor mentioned the lack of appetite with the baby occupying all the space. He mentioned once the baby lodged in the pelvis Talon should regain a bit of stomach space to allow for more food. Stehpan sighed a bit, worried this would mean the birth still wasnt that close. He saw Talon's daily suffering and the sooner the baby came, the sooner Talon will be relieved. "At least try a bit of toast? Half a slice? We would need to call the kids, tell them to stay put. The snow would be too big forr them to return safely."
"alright." He nodded "half a slice of toast." he gave in "All go make the call well you do that, it gave him something to do anyway he went back to the living room grabbing his phone and calling the home that there kids had been having a sleepover at. Talon talked to there parents for a few minutes about the storm and they all agreed it would be best if the twins stayed there for now. He had just hung up and set the phone down when he winced feeling a dull pain main move threw his back.
Stephan set out everything. He considered it and started the pump to get the gym.ball bloated. Sitting on it could be more comfortable for Talon than the couch now, and it might help with the birth by rubbing on the perineum. With everything set Stephan got up to find Talon, ready to get him downstairs. He entered and saw the pained expression of Talon with his hand pressing on his back. "Talon?" He strode forward and held Talon, concerned.
"It's fine." the pain didn't last vary long and died down after a few moments. "im ok really, back just hurts." he looked up at Stephan knowing he had worried him. "the twins are going to stay where they are for now. They said that was fine."
Stephan marked down the time silently, nodded and said "tell me if it hurt again?" He wound an arm around Talon's waist and guided him trhough to the stairs. "Breakfast's ready. And it seemed they werr expecting quite a few inches morr of snow. The twins may need to get an extended sleepover for tonight."
"really that much?" Back at base they hadn't had any snow so it was a bit strange seeing it again and having so much of it, though he really couldn't complain.. it wasn't so bad. He took a seat at the table eyeing the toast, he still wasn't vary hungry but he did manage to eat it.
"Yes. Talon..... do you want to go out for a bit? It's not too heavy right now, you want to try a bit of building a snowman?" Stephan suggested with this rare opportuntiy on previous years the twins were too small, and then later they just didnt have the chance to try such childish things.
"sounds like fun though im not sure how much help I'll be." He smiled standing up and setting the plate in the sink then going to grab his jacket. "But lets do it. " It was childish maybe but Talon didn't care it sounded like fun.
"You would be the designer, overseeing the contruction process." Stephan smiled as he gathered the stuff they would need, a few buttons and a carrot. He wrapped Talon up with mittens, scarf and a knitted hat, making sure he's very warm before heading out together. "Talon you are looking like a snowman now in fact." Stephan laughed as he saw Talon's look in the mirror just at the doorway.
Talon rolled his eyes and shook his head with a slight laugh. "Eh thanks." He said lightly.
As they got outside and started building Talon instructed Stephan on where to put things and once he didn't have to bend over so much and the snow man was tall enough he helped mold it. They had just reached the middle part when talon winced feeling anther dull ache move threw him.
Stephan caught Talon as he doubled over, pained expression on his face. He marked down the time and saw it to be about 2 hours from the last one. He let Talon hang onyto him and endure through the pain. Once he had recovered enough he asked "is it still at rhe back? Would it be because you are cold or tired that triggered it? Shall we return to the house?"
Talon shook his head letting out a long slow breath. "I'm alright and yea, mostly just in my back but not completely." He straitened up resting a hand on his belly as the baby kicked. "Im not that cold, it's ok.. were almost done lets finish." It wouldn't be any better in the house and he liked being out but he saw the hesitant look on Stephan's face.
"Really, it's ok.."
"Alright, some walking and mild exercise would be good i think." Stephan kissed the cheeks that was flushed red from thr cool air and the moving around. "Just tell me when you feel another pain ok?" He smiled gently ay his husband knowing he had been kept in for far too long. "Now finally the waist. I doubt if its wasit can be largee than yours." Stephan teasingly said.
Talon rolled his eyes at Stephan's jokes. "Funny." He said sticking his tongue out like a child.
As they continued Talon stuck the black buttons into the snow along the mid section of the snowman. It was taking some time but really all they had left now as the head. The snow was coming down harder and the wind was just starting the pick up.
