Koji swallowed the lump forming in his throat. "I am not sure Sloosh." He sighed quietly and got down to her level. "Sometimes, when people get hurt really badly during a battle or accident. They don't always wake up....instead their spirits are taken by Shiina-Ryu, the ruler of the after-life who escorts them to a special place where they will be happy and freed from pain."
Sloosh stops "is it always a happy place?" She is trying to grasp the whole situation.
"Yes, a very happy place where they can watch over the people they love always". Koji replied with a slight smile.
Sloosh looks at the tent "will he send back kirak? He never got to adventure like he wanted to. Or even get to find a mate."
"I am not sure Sloosh. It depends on him and him alone". Koji sighed sadly
Slowish nods and looks down. "Ok. At least most of the trip is ok."
"Yes, that is good. Now what do you say we go help out?". He offered to distract her.
She nods "ok!" She hurries off to go help pack. The gold riptor walks over "I see your ok."
"Yes, thank you. I am sorry for your losses. I shall help give them proper burials. How is Kirkak's condition?." Koji asked quietly as he bowed to the golden Riptor out of respect.
Shiloh
He landed back at the scene for the battle. His flaming feathers had dimmed a bit from using a little to much of his power but as he looked around he inwardly winced knowing he'd barely helped fight their main battle at all. Instead of standing around he rushed to the fallen bodies, at least the ones still breathing, and helped to heal that power of his still at full strength. Ge looked aroun for the rest of the group, Jeremy and aster seemed ok, the dark elf was no where to be seen and same with the girl Phoekin he had meet at the beginning when he'd joined along. Finally his eyes rested on Koji who looked a little worse for wear and crossed over to him setting a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"anything hurt? I can heal it the best I can." he said with a small sad smile.
He sighs "he is on the edge like you where. our healer had to use strong magic just to get him that close but hopefully he will be strong and make it through. How are you?" He signals for Koji to stand.
Koji nodded quietly at Shiloh. "I am fine, please go to help the healer with Kikak. He is need of help the most." Koji stood up quietly and nodded to the leader. "I sworn on my life and power that will protect those who need help. Are the hatchlings and eggs alright?" He asked. He was more worried about the hatchlings and eggs than himself.
The golden cheif nods "you and kirak did well at getting them to safety. If you want to see how well they are we will certainly let you. One of the eggs even hatched into twins after the battle."
Ryne sighed as he watched his friends converse. "I'm glad all of you are okay. Shiina-Ryu's appearance was startling to me though." He said as he rubbed his belly to calm himself.
The golden riptor eyes ryne " I was startled as well. Do be more careful human you hold a lot in you and if you continue to let yourself get captured everyone will suffer. Do not take your position lightly."
"I know. As much as I would like to help, my pregnancy saps my stamina and my magic to support the baby." Ryne explained. Suddenly, the figure entered a spoke. "Your companions are also to blame. They don't know who they are truly dealing with." The figure stated.
The golden riptor sighs "they fought their hardest. If you don't want them to all die on you try giveing them some real help."
"They won't have to fight this battle anymore. Ryne is coming with me." The figure said before he removed the hood from his cloak showing himself as a human in his mid 20s with silver hair and blue eyes. "Kage?! What are you doing here?" Ryne asked. "I'm here to take you home." Kage stated.
The riptor chief snorts "you don't control the boy. If he decides to continue on his adventure you shouldn't stop him. If he want to go home then he can. My people are going into hiding one way or another. This world clearly is doomed to fall after all."
"He is coming home. The council has decided it to be the best course of action considering these times." Kage stated. "But, my friends!" Ryne exclaimed. "Can go home. They don't have to protect you anymore." Kage stated.
