At Anna's words the servant bowed her head, remaining outside of the door. "Very well Miss Anna." In his bed Kodai laid still while he continued to slumber, slightly wincing as the bandages upon his still healing chest were gently removed but remained silent as he was too weary to open his eyes and become aware of what was occurring around him.
Anna gently replaced the bandages upon his chest and abdomen, beginning to sing softly as she does.
Within a few moments of Anna singing softly to him Kodai's pained expression of wincing ceased completely, becoming calm once again while he continued to slumber.
She covers his upper body back up, and removes the lower sheet, and gently removes the bandage of herbs.
As Anna did her tasks of removing the bloodied bandages upon his chest, stomach and inbetween his legs Kodai remained soundly asleep.
Anna finishes her work and quietly leaves, telling the servant to fetch her when Kodai wakes up.
Kodai continued to sleep ever so silently for a few more hours, breathing softly but not enough to be heard. The servant bowed her head to Anna, entering the room and pulling up the only chair that was present in the room while she watched over Kodai. Eventually Kodai awakened with a fluttering of his upper eyelids before opening them completely as he became alert and curious. When the servant watched Kodai awaken she arose to her feet, searching for Anna for a moment before she found her. "Miss Anna .. Kodai is awake."
"Thank you," she says, before entering his room. "Hey, how are you feeling?" she asks, coming to his bedside and placing a hand on his shoulder.
When the servant was graciously thanked she smiled with a bow of her head, continuing with her task of standing outside of Kodai's bedroom door. "You are welcome Miss Anna." She said to Anna. Kodai glanced around his room for a moment and when he heard a question being asked his eyes ascended before locking into Anna's with a soft smile. "I feel wonderful Miss Anna."
"Good, good. Want to try and sit up? Maybe eat a bit?"
At both questions that his friend Anna spoke Kodai nodded, blushing in embarrassment while he heard the soft complaining of his empty stomach as it demanded for food after being fed only drops and swallows of water.
Anna helped him sit up slowly. "How's that feel?" she asks gently?
Kodai smiled warmly to his beloved friend who was kind enough to help him sit up upon the mattress of his bed. He spoke softly and honestly only when he was sure of what to say. "It doesnt hurt as much as it did before Miss Anna. Thank you for helping me up."
"Anytime," she grabs the plate of food from the table, and sets it in his lap. "You look much, much better."
Kodai smiles at his friend, beginning to consume his meal bite by bite and chew by chew to fill his empty stomach up. When he was done he licked his upper and lower lip with delight, setting the plate back upon the table it was previously upon. "Thank you for the meal Miss Anna. It was delicious."
"Feel like a little walking today?" she asks hopefully. The doctor comes tomorrow, and would be glad to hear some progress.
At the words that were spoke by Anna Kodai's smile widened, nodding while he became ever so eager to try what his friend though of. "I would love to Miss Anna."
"Go easy," she says, beginning to help him to his feet.
Kodai nodded at his friend's warned of words, beginning to arise to his feet as slowly and steadily as he can. He stands up cautiously, beginning to take a step forward while managing to stay steady upon his bare feet.
"How does that feel? No dizziness?" she asks, studying his face.
