"Like what? I'm curious."
Cormac shrugged. "Creating life I guess."
"Huh. Creating life itself doesn't sound that interesting. Part of me wishes I could experience it myself, but that could never happen." Delas chuckled. "Dad once told me that's how pregnancy is with men. We're curious about it and kind of want to experience it, but we're endlessly thankful we can't."
"Sounds about right."
Delas chuckled. "Yeah. Some guys can do it, though. Those guys are lucky and unlucky. I wonder if I'd be able to be pregnant if I wasn't a raceless."
"I think every man wonders at some point."
"I could never have my own children. We raceless are sterile."
"There's always adoption."
"Yeah, but I could never have my own, is the thing. It doesn't matter really, I don't think I want children."
Cormac nodded.
Delas was quiet a second. "Are you sure Astien's not your dad?"

(Gtg, bed time.)
"Pretty sure. My father was a drake. Plus Astien's not into women in that way."
"Oh. I guess that'd make sense, with your wings and all. Have I mentioned how cool those wings are yet? Cuz they're pretty cool."
Cormac smiled. "Yeah, they're pretty cool. Have I told you how I found out I was half drake?"
Deals shook his head. "Were you saving a bunch of kids from a fire? A kitten from a really tall tree?"
"No really," Cormac chuckled. "It was after Astien and I got away from the harpies and got to this beach resort to unwind. I was getting a message and the guy dug into a spot in my shoulder and my wings just popped out."
Deals looked confused. "So if I tapped your shoulder, your wings would pop out?"
"No. I have better control now. He hit a really sensitive spot and they came out."
"Oh. I'm really jealous. All I have is..." He looked down at his hands. "Incredibly unstable magic."
"You should ask Astien to tutor you once he wakes up," Cormac suggested. "He helped me with controlling my fire. Though, I honestly work off of instinct."
