Astien's blush deepened, especially as more people looked at the two men. A nearby woman gently slapped her husbands arm. "You don't even hold the door open for me anymore."
Marius chuckled. "I hope the seats are comfortable," he said.
Finally, they were inside the theater, and sitting in their seats. For being last-minute tickets, the view was surprisingly passable. Astien couldn't stop himself grinning as they waited for the curtains to rise. "Even Aiden's excited!" He placed Marius' hand on his belly. "Feel him? He's almost as excited as I am!"
Marius smiled as he felt Aiden kicking. "I guess he takes after your taste in music."
"The music hasn't started yet. Argh, why aren't the curtains up yet? Why do they tease me?!"
"There are still people who are taking their seats. It'll start soon," Marius assured him.
Finally, after what Astien was sure was. Three hours, the curtains rose and the play started. Astien couldn't stop smiling and grinning throughout. Aiden kept kicking, just as excited as Astien was, but he somehow managed to ignore it. The only time his thoughts wandered away was when he put one o his hands on the armrest, quietly hoping Marius would take the hint and hold it in his own.
Marius relaxed into his seat and took Astien's hand into his.
Astien smiled happily and rested his head upon Marius' shoulder. His other hand gently stroked his belly as the loud percussions made his son stir. Astien found himself mouthing along to the words, especially when his favorite song came on.
Marius squeezed Astien's hand once in a while as the show went on.
Astien couldn't recall the last time he'd felt like this. He wondered if this was what Faye's embrace felt like.
Marius kissed Astien's head.
As all good things must someday end, so did the play end. Astien had to drag himself out of his seat to give a standing ovation. Afterward, Astien convinced Marius to take a cut through the park on the way back to the inn. "I love that show so much! Marius, I can't even believe you managed to get tickets! That was incredible!"
Marius chuckled. "I managed to get the last two they had for tonight's show."
"That you managed to get them must have been some kind of divine intervention! I can't even begin to tell you how much I loveā€¦" Astien rattled on about the various things he liked about the show.
Marius smiled warmly, glad to see that Astien had been enjoying their night. He was so adorable when he rambled on about things he was passionate about.
Astien prattled on and on, until he'd run out of things to gush about. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ramble like that. That must have been boring to listen to."
"It's fine. You're cute when you ramble," Marius chuckled.

Astien blushed, and took Marius' hands, gently swaying them back and forth. " you know what my favorite song is?" Astien began singing.

"Nighttime sharpens,
Heightens each sensation.
Darkness stirs, and wakes imagination.
Silently the senses, abandon their defenses..."

Marius smiled and swayed with Astien.
